Description
This Hoya is an unusual rarity that only can be found in the wild on the east coast of Sulawesi and on the neighboring Tukang-Besi Islands of Indonesia, where it is spread by ants that hide their seeds in branches as a food supply. The seeds that are not eaten germinate and grow from the hiding places. It is also rarely found on the market, but impresses with its reddish-colored flowers that look like spherical buttons. If it is not kept in a hanging basket, it should be given climbing supports.
